Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's feud is one of the most famous in Hollywood history. Tension between the two goes back to 2014 when Taylor accused Katy of stealing her backup dancers , which is believed to be the inspo behind Bad Blood. Since then, Katy's thrown a slew of accusations back, calling Tay "Regina George in sheep's clothing" and so their feud has progressed, mostly in the form of cheeky music video digs.

Now you're up to speed, strap yourself in for the latest installment.

In the latest episode of American Idol, where Katy's now a judge, her fellow judge Luke Brywan asked a contestant who their music inspo was, when the contestant looked at Katy and apologised, before admitting he's a massive Swiftie.

"Oh, you don't have to be sorry!" Perry replied.

"I love Taylor Swift," the contestant added.

"I love her as a songwriter, as well," she said.

Sure, it sounds like Katy's paying Taylor a compliment and, tbf, she kinda is. But by specifying she loves Tay "as a songwriter", she's also implying she really doesn't like her as a person.
