As far as celebrities who have been accused of cultural appropriation go, the Kardashians have had their fair share of controversy over the years. And it seems that 2018 is no different, with Kim Kardashian already being dragged for wearing 'Bo Derek' braids on her Snapchat overnight.
Last night Kim posted a vid on Snapchat of her with braided hair which she called 'Bo Derek braids'.

In case you have NFI who Bo Derek is, she's a white actress from the 1970s who starred in the movie 10.
The problem is that Bo's braids appropriated Fulani braids (or cornrows), a hairstyle worn by women of colour, a decision which was controversial back in the '70s.
Now Kim's gone and credited that same controversial person for creating said appropriated hairstyle, and then imitated the culture herself almost 50 years later.
Naturally, Twitter had some feelings on the matter:
Srsly Kim, how about running this stuff by Kris first? She knows what's up.
