Kim Kardashian: Bruce Jenner "is on a journey"

They're not denying anything anymore. Nor should they have to.

Ever since Kris and Bruce Jenner announced they were splitting, the Kardashians have spent a lot of their time denying allegations that Bruce is transitioning. As a refresh, here are a couple of Kris Jenner quotes on the subject:

"Ninety-nine percent of the stuff in the tabloids is made up... I think when he gets his nails buffed they put clear nail polish on him. The bottom line is, we [the Kardashians] sell magazines."
Entertainment Tonight, January 2014

"[Laughs] Idiots, I think you're crazy."
— to TMZ cameramen posing the "sex change" question, February 2014

"That's a story they've been writing since the '70s, and I think they just keep regurgitating stuff... and the more sensational the headline, they are going to sell magazines... It's just, like, unbelievable that these blatant lies are printed, and people are gullible."

But the Kardashians are telling a different story in 2015. One perhaps partly forced by that horrendous InTouch cover from earlier this month. You know the one. Bad Photoshop, lipstick, blush and wrong on SO many levels. While it’s been said that Bruce himself isn’t fazed by the stunt (because he doesn't give a damn what anybody thinks) Kris was reportedly (and understandably) upset by it. And this is where the story starts to change. First up, an anonymous source told TMZ that it was "just mean to do whether or not it's true." This is the first time the rumours have not been flat out denied.

And now, in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kim Kardashian says, "I think everyone goes through things in life, and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he'll share whenever the time is right."

Well, yeah. It is Bruce’s story to tell. But that didn’t stop Kim from addressing Bruce’s "journey" on more than one occasion, saying, "I feel like that's his journey to talk about" and that Bruce is "the happiest" Kim has ever known him, she also told Entertainment Tonight, that he has the backing of all his family as he continues on his, again, "journey."

Kim, Khloé, Kourtney, Kendall, and Kylie all jumped on a couch (above) for a family photo with Bruce following the InTouch cover. And seeing how krazy all their schedules are, and how hard it would be to get them in the same room let alone the same seat, that’s a pretty big deal, right? Get a load of Kim Kardashian's Super Bowl commercial. "That was not like a secret message like 'we support Bruce,'" Kim explained. "Of course we support Bruce 100 per cent. He’s our dad so we support him no matter what, and I think when the time is right, he’ll talk about whatever he wants to talk about. I just think it’s his story to talk about, not really mine. I guess I'll kind of let everyone be curious." This kind of talk certainly points towards a strong shift in PR handling from the Kardashian-Jenners. But still, there’s a huge divide between what Bruce wishes to disclose to his family and what everyone else in the world thinks they have a right to know. And while the Kardashians seem to be far more open to discussing their private lives than most, this doesn't mean Bruce's situation - whatever that may be - is suddenly fair game for dissection, sensational headlines and faux-concerned transitional analysis; the time is not right for that yet... or ever. Kris Jenner's list of backstage demands revealed.
