Margot Robbie talks about THAT Vanity Fair article

“I remember thinking, ‘That was a really odd interview.’”

Since Vanity Fair’s Rich Cohen published his controversial AF article about Margot Robbie earlier this month, in which he described her as “a second-semester freshman” who was beautiful in “minor knock-around key, a blue mood, a slow dance” kinda way but is still way “too fresh to be pegged,” (which was SO not okay for a gazillion reasons), we’ve been waiting for Margot’s response.

Oh, and as though that wasn’t bad enough, he went on to describe all Aussies as “throwback people” who “still live and die with the plot turns of soap operas”- Yep, it was pretty terrible.

At last, in an interview with The Project, Margot has finally shared her thoughts on the effed-up piece. “I remember thinking, ‘That was a really odd interview. I don’t know how that’s going to come out,’” Margot revealed. “And then when I read it I was like, yeah, the tone of this is really weird. I don’t really know what he’s trying to get at or play at.”

While we now know that the article turned out to be a total douche manifesto, Margot says she “didn’t expect there was going to be an uproar about it at all,” but she was also glad that her peeps stuck up for her.

“I had like this bit of Aussie pride, where I was like, ‘Don’t mess with the Aussies,’” she said, laughing. “Don’t you mess with the Aussies. Look at what happens when you mess with Australia.”

Margot went on to say that she’s so proud to be Aussie, she’s gonna pull a Hemsworth and move back to Oz when she’s looking to settle down. "Yes, yes, the kids will be in Australia," she told her mother, Sarie, who worried she’d live in LA forever.

So there you have it, Margot responded to the whole shiz like a true blue and confirms she's gonna be back in the not-too-distant future. Happy days <33
