Maroon 5 will likely perform at the 2019 Super Bowl and Twitter is not happy

We tend to agree on this one...

Rumours about this year's Super Bowl halftime performance are in full swing. It's looking like one-time Christina Aguilera collaborator, Maroon 5, will be performing at this year's gig. The choice of the pop rock band is causing quite the stir on Twitter, with a collective snooze-alert being the general consensus for the choice.

A massive part of the backlash has come from the fact that this years game will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, home to some seriously viable artists.

CeeLoo Green, Child Gambino, Ciara, Ludacris, T.I., Outkast, Toni Braxton and GODDAMN Usher, just to name a few.

Reason enough...

This year's Super Bowl halftime show, performed by Justin Timberlake was met with similar disinterest. Which is no surprise, following the incredible 2017 performance by soon-to-be Oscar-winning actress Lady Gaga as the most-watched musical performance ever, was never going to be an easy feat. Especially when she has more stage presence in her little toe than Justin and Maroon 5 combined.
