Keeping up with the Car-dashians: Meet Australia’s answer to the Kardashians

Kim who…?

We don’t mean to alarm you but there’s a new reality TV show in the works – and it might just give Keeping up with the Kardashians a run for its money.

Meet the Wardells: a family of car enthusiasts from Australia’s Central Coast. The family have been the subject of quite a few Daily Mail headlines over the past year as mother Natalie, 45, is often mistaken for her two daughters, Jazmyne, 21, and Tamika, 19. Turns out, Jazmyne is also quite the beauty queen, being crowned Miss Summernats 2017 crowns in Canberra over the weekend.

Now, the Wardells are gearing up for their biggest gig yet: a reality TV show based on their glamorous(?) life. “To be approached by a production company to do a reality TV show was amazing,” Jazmyne told the Express Advocate. “Mum and Dad are right into cars and the show will be aimed at car enthusiasts on a Foxtel channel.”

“It’s going to be a big year ahead, promoting other car events as Miss Summernats, as well as filming for the TV show, which is also exciting for my parents and sisters,” she continued. “All five of us are into cars, so I guess we are the Car-dashians.”

However, despite reports that Jazmyne was the one who referred to her family as the Car-dashians, mother Natalie is not happy about being compared to the Kardashian-Jenners.

She posted the following message to Instagram:

“Yes we are starring in a reality show! No it won't be about how we look!! We will not be filmed 24/7 we will only be filmed at car events our shed and our with our normal car mates! Don't ever compare us to the kardashions EVER!!! We are nothing at all like that family! We are real we are actually quite feral to be honest! You will all see! You will either love or hate us! #keepingitreal”

TBH, there are a LOT of reality TV shows out there – but this is one program we will be tuning into. Pass the popcorn pls.
