If, like us, you’re obsessed with the red carpet you know better than anyone that Miley Cyrus always keeps things interesting. Whether she’s rockin’ a metallic harness dress or wearing extensions to frekkin’ long you don’t even understand how she keeps her head upright, safe to say, Miley’s a red carpet icon. But here comes the sad news: in an interview with Elle, cover girl Miley reveals she’s done with the red carpet. FOREVER.

“I will never do a red carpet again,” she says. “Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that's red?” Miley questioned. “Because I'm 'important'? Because I'm 'famous'? That's not how I roll. It's like a skit - it's like Zoolander.”

But, but, we love you Miley - is that not enough?

The last red carpet Miley walked wa Netflix’s A Very Murray Christmas premiere last December but no word on what exactly made her make the decision.

Miley likens her position to that of her character in Woody Allen’s Crisis in Six Scenes production, “I’m playing this ’60s revolutionary. Woody plays someone who grew up in the suburbs of New York. He’s got an ice cream machine, and I’m like, people are starving and you’re sitting here making ice cream?!” Miley explained.

Apart from the principle of it, she adds that there's also an emotional guilt-factor. “For a long time, I couldn’t sleep because I just felt so guilty…I was covered in rashes because I was so stressed,” Miley said. “There are children being sold into sex slavery... So now I try to do as much as I can through Happy Hippie,” Miley explained.

As sad as we are to see Miley leave the red carpet, this girl's destined to make some positive change and that's one of the reasons we love her so damn much.

On a slightly lighter note, Miley then talks about Liam Hemsworth, who's apparently a die hard Pokémon Go guy. "Liam woke up [this morning] and tried to go to the car wash because it was a - what do you call it? - PokéSpot," she says. "Like, 'Got to go find them and catch them all! Ahh!'…"

LOL. We can totally imagine Liam strolling around Byron Bay tryin' to catch a Charmander like it's NBD.
