Unfortunately, Miley Cyrus (probably) won’t twerk at this year’s VMAs

But she will be performing.

Remember when Miley Cyrus performed ‘Blurred Lines’ at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards with none other than Robin Thicke?

TBH, ‘Blurred Lines’ in itself is a controversial song. However, it was Miley’s performance, complete with twerking, grinding and gyrating that really got the crowd’s attention. In fact, the performance was so ~controversial~, her name was mentioned 4.5 MILLION times on Twitter and generated around 306 100 tweets per minute.

The 2017 VMAs are mere hours away – and Miley has confirmed that she will be performing. (She’s up for best pop song for her hit, ‘Malibu.’) However, this year’s performance will probably/definitely be less controversial. Earlier today, Miley tweeted, “Sorry Dad.... I'll be good tonight I promise ... @vmas.”

Regardless of whether she twerks or not, we’ll be tuning into Miley’s performance. Girlfriend has a very impressive set of pipes!
