When you think of ‘relatable celebrities’ (lols), Nicki Minaj probably isn’t the first person who springs to mind.
But at the Met Gala, Nicki proved she was all of us by going H.A.M. on the celebrity selfies and photos — which we would totally do if we scored an invite to one of the biggest, most celeb-packed events of the year. And she’s been to heaps of Met Galas before!
First, she got to rub shoulders with Gigi Hadid.
She said her fellow H&M-clad guest, model Jourdan Dunn, “has my heart.”
She lost her shit at posing with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen: “Omg I’m gagging.”
There were not enough heart eye emojis for her meeting with “legend” Halle Berry.
“Omg did someone call for another legend,” she wrote about designer Valentino Garavani.
Then came this epic group shot with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. “I can’t. Omg,” Nicki wrote.
(WE’D BE FREAKING OUT TOO.)
The whole time, Nicki looked like an absolute ~queen~ in her H&M dress. She was one of the few celebrities who looked like she actually tried with the theme of this year’s Met Gala, “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between,” as her belt featured designer Rei Kawakubo’s face.
Inside the event, she hung out with Future and Jourdan, the “lit” team who represented H&M on the night.
And when it was all over, Nicki showed us the only acceptable way to leave an event like the Met Gala: sprawled across the car seat with your makeup looking perf.
