In a new interview with Marie Claire, Paris Hilton says she’s “very into that,” that being “women’s empowerment and girl power.” The profile also mentions her “old family friend” Donald Trump, someone Paris views as “an incredible businessman.” In the original story, published Monday, Paris shrugs off Trump’s now infamous “grab them by the pussy” line, noting that she’s “heard guys say the craziest things ever, because I’m always around guys, and I listen to them speak.” Of the women who have accused Trump of sexually assaulting them, Paris offers this: “I think that they are just trying to get attention and get fame.”
On Tuesday, writer Irin Carmon, who conducted the interview with the former Simple Life Star, released a screenshot of their full exchange, which was “more than we could fit” in the print version. Paris’s defense of Trump actually went on for quite a while: “I feel like, a lot of people, when something happens all these opportunists will come out. They want to get money or get paid to not say anything or get a settlement when nothing really happened. So I don’t believe any of that. And I’m sure that they were trying to be with him too.” According to Paris, she’s witnessed a “lot of women” going after Trump “because he’s wealthy and he’s charming and good-looking.” She repeats herself, “I don’t believe it.”

As shown in the screenshot, Paris also explains why she doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with Trump talking about her in a sexual way when she was 12. In the published story, Carmon notes that Paris “shrugs it off.” In the extended exchange, Paris says, “Oh I read that about that too. And it was on Howard Stern, so I feel that anyone that’s on that show, Howard just loves to say weird things and people say things that they normally wouldn’t say. It wasn’t creepy at all. He’s not like that at all, he’s always been so respectful.”
Do give yourself some time to let all of this, along with the revelation that Paris actually didn't vote for Trump - or anyone at all last November - sink in. Take a walk. Get some fresh air. Pet a dog. Rinse, repeat.
