After being dragged by the entire Twitterverse for shading Ariana Grande following the Manchester bombing attack, notorious shit-stirrer Piers Morgan has stunned the entire world by eating his words and actually apologising for his remarks.
ICYM the face palm-worthy incident...
When Katy Perry praised Queen Elizabeth for visiting those injured in the terrorist attack following Ariana Grande’s Manchester show, Piers couldn’t help but throw in his unwarranted two cents by taking a jab at the singer for jetting home after the horrific events.
“Agreed. Might have been nice if @ ArianaGrande had stayed to do the same," he tweeted in response to K-Pez.
Enter the entire world defending Ari and reminding the Good Morning Britain host that she, too, would have been traumatised from the appalling attack, though it wasn’t enough to stop him mouthing off.
"Probably not as much as those killed & wounded. She should have stayed to visit her injured fans," he posted, adding, "I expected better from her. Her fans have been decimated. Stay, visit, comfort."
However, in a completely unexpected move by the overly-opinionated TV personality, after witnessing the super emotional One Love Manchester benefit concert hosted by Ariana, he took to Twitter to backtrack on his comments.
“I misjudged you, @ArianaGrande & I apologise. You're an admirable young woman & this is a magnificent night. Respect. #OneLoveManchester,” he wrote, much to the shock of pretty much everyone.
The charity concert, which saw celebs such as Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber take the stage, has already raised over $12 million for the ‘We Love Manchester Emergency Fund’, with $2.5 million alone flooding in via text and online donations during the concert.
