Selena Gomez's mum shares a sassy home video showing off her daughter's "independent" side

So fierce.

There's no question Selena Gomez has BDE—and it's likely a quality she's always had, even when you consider this throwback home video her mum shared this week.

We know what you're thinking, 'Oh a throwback video of a celeb... it's just gon' be cute, at best!' NO! Because, confession: We have watched this video Mandy Teefey shared on Tuesday (June 10) of her "boss lady" daughter over 500 million times because this 5-year-old version of Selena has the amount of sass we wish to have when we grow up.

Basically, the short clip shows Sel on the phone to her mama whilst she's at work, complaining (in her adorable southern twang) about some school work she's been send home with. And when baby Sel stares down the barrel of the camera and says, "You better girl". DEAD!!!!!!

In the caption Mandy waxed lyrical about her firstborn's "sassy, independent, boss lady" attitude—something she apparently shares with her younger sister, Gracie. The proud mum adding, "My girls are born leaders."

Question: Did they get it from their mama?
