Sia's The Greatest video is a tribute to the Orlando nightclub shooting victims

It will give you goose bumps.

At first glance the video for Sia’s new song “The Greatest” just seems like yet another awesome clip from the Aussie artist starring teen dance sensation Maddie Ziegler, who also starred in her “Chandelier”, “Electric Heart” and “Big Girls Cry” videos.

But take a closer look and it’s so much more than cool choreography and a catchy electro-pop beat: it’s a tribute to the victims of the Orlando gay nightclub shooting in June, which killed 49 and injured scores more.

As many on social media have been quick to point out, there are 49 dancers in the video including 13-year-old Maddie, and at the end they all fall down on the ground in a room riddled with bullet holes. Told you it would give you goose bumps.

Despite the difficult subject matter of the video, “The Greatest” is an uplifting dance track that’s going to get you on your feet all summer long. You heard it here first.
