Er, velvet swimsuits are now a thing and we’re not sure how to feel about it

Would YOU wear one?

Velvet swimsuits

As one of the biggest fashion trends of last year velvet practically everything has now been made out of the fancy fabric. Clothes? Obvs. Chokers? Yep. Boots? Yes, sir. Curtains? Defo.

And that’s before we even go into the velvet-effect lipstick and nail polish ops on the market.

Hell, Khloé Kardashian was so obsessed with velvet she went and covered her bloody Range Rover in the stuff.

But now Triangl’s gone and released a new line of velvet swimwear, and we’re not sure how to feel about it.

I mean, on the one hand it’s velvet (which is fancy AF, so yes please) but on the other it’s, well, velvet.

The most surprising part? It actually looks kinda cool – see the pics for yourself.

The funky texture give the suits a pretty sheen when the sun hits it...

And it even gives the effect of different colours, depending on where the light falls.

The only thing we're not so sure about is what it looks like post-swim... but hey, most of the time swimsuits are used for chillaxing poolside anyway, so maybs it's not that big of a deal.

Wanna nab yourself one? Welp, one of the futuristic suits will set you back $107 and can be bought here. Now the one thing we can ALL get behind is the inclusive size range, which starts out at XXS and runs through to XXL.

So there you have it.
