Ever heard of one Lorna Jane?
We had a feeling you might! The Lorna Jane — as in, the woman behind the brand, Lorna Jane — has become somewhat of a fitness legend. Gym classes around Australia are chock-full of women exclusively wearing Lorna Jane activewear, mostly due to the fact they sell the best tights in the business. (Honestly, they do — if you haven't already, you have try them!)
It’s safe to say, Lorna lives and breathes her brand. She’s ripped AF and she has the Instagram posts to prove it!
If there’s anyone who can help us finally whip our bodies into shape for summer, it’s Lorna. So we asked the fitness guru for her top five tips on how to get fit — and stay fit.
Over to you, Lorna:
1. Work out in the morning
“I find that if I don’t do my workout first thing in the morning, chances are I’ll talk myself out of it during the day. Morning workouts are also a great way to feel energised and get your metabolism powered up so that you burn more calories throughout the day!”
2. Mix it up
“Stay motivated by changing up your workouts on a regular basis. I switch between strength training, walking my dog, yoga and hiking.”
3. Think about what you eat
“What you eat determines how you think and feel for the day so nourish your body with a balance of lean protein, fresh vegetables, good fats and super delicious in-season fruits.”
4. Get plenty of sleep
“Never under estimate the power of a good night’s sleep. Aim for seven to nine hours a night and even consider a couple of short naps on the weekend if you’re feeling a little stressed.”
5. Make it fun
“Being fit and healthy doesn’t have to be all hard work. Make it fun by finding workouts that you love to do, working out with a friend or adding a little healthy competition in to the mix.”
