This new menstrual cup can be worn during penetrative sex

Hallelu!

If, like me, you've become obsessed with menstrual cups and all the cool new sustainable, reusable, environmentally-friendly period products (they're pretty good for your bank balance too), then this news will make you fist pump.

Intimina has brought out the Ziggy Cup, which is the first ever menstrual cup that can be worn during penetrative sex. Instead of sitting where a traditional tampon or menstrual cup would, the Ziggy Cup rests just below the cervix and away from the vaginal canal. Yep, Intimina's promising mess-free, penetrative period sex.

Admittedly, that might not be everyone's bag and obviously that's cool. But for those of us who happen to get very horny when we're on our periods (blame all those damn hormones floating around), and aren't comfortable with the idea of things getting a bit messy, this is bloody good news.

The cup is made from 100% medical grade silicone and features a "leak-proof" double rim. It's $58 which may seem like a big chunk to pay out in one go, but considering the average woman spends thousands on disposable products in her lifetime, this is is remarkably cheaper in the long run. (FYI, I just used this tool to calculate how much I've spent on tampons and pads in my 29 years of life, and it's nearly $1284.54!)

It's being touted as the easiest cup to use and remove (apparently this is a big concern among first-time menstrual cup users), and it's also collapsible and comes with a carry case. So convenient.
