WARNING: SPOILERS APLENTY.
After a solid weekend dedicated to working on the butt-groove in our couch (courtesy of Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life) we’ve finally peeled ourselves away from our screens and are ready to talk about everything that happened. Aaaand it turns out that, after a long time of having to keep things on the DL, leading lady Alexis Bledel is here to debrief with us.
ICYMI, the Gilmore Girls revival saw Rory rekindle her romance with Logan, despite the fact both are in relationships with other people (Rory with her boyf of three years, Paul, and Logan with his fiancée Odette).
Well it turns out that the unexpected plot twist, which absolutely NOBODY saw coming, also had Alexis a little shocked.
"It did surprise me," she admitted in an interview with ET Online. "And I think it's a little uncomfortable for [Rory] even though she's kind of putting on a brave face that she's fine with it. I think she's actually not that emotionally connected to it. I think she's kind of just going through the motions at this point when we pick up with them."
'At this point', eh Lex? Hmmmmm.
As for Matt Czuchry? Well, he sounded kinda okay with how the whole thing worked out.
"I think they were both in the same place at the same time," Czuchry said. "Rory and Logan have always had a love for each other that has gone back and forth, and they've never really wanted to say goodbye.
They're both in the same place at the same time in this particular story, so it's a mutual relationship that they're carrying on."
Given the loose ends which need to be tied up in Rory’s love life, not to mention those last four words, we can’t help but think another Netflix sequel, is on its way.
Here's to hoping!
