UPDATE 11/5/2018: It's a strong possibility that Brooklyn Nine-Nine could be coming back, but not in the way we first thought.

Deadline has reported that streaming service Hulu is among the outlets who've expressed interest in reviving the cult comedy series. The announcement of its cancellation this morning has seen fans devastated; so a revival of the show would be in the interest of any network.

We'll update the story when we know more.

ORIGINAL: Our Friday is officially ruined, because FOX's hit show Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been cancelled by the network after five seasons.

The police-based comedy series, starring Andy Samberg, Melissa Fumero and Terry Crews, was announced to have been axed due to an audience lull and a large-scale content cut-back at the US's FOX network. And, understandably, fans of the show are NOT having it.

The show, which ran for 5 seasons and 110 episodes, was hailed for its character diversity, progressiveness, and smart, amicable humour. It's also been nominated for multiple Golden Globes and Emmy Awards, and has seen universal acclaim from critics since its 2013 debut.

Cast members, writers and even other celebrities have come out in support of the show, and thanked fans for their continuous support along the show's five-year run.

We'll try not to let this ruin our entire weekend.
