WARNING: The Game of Thrones season 8 premiere date will fkn devastate you

It's gonna be a long-ass winter.

Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner has revealed some pretty bad news about the season 8 premiere date.

While showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss already kinda warned us we might be facing a long, cold wait before we could go back to Westeros--at the end of season seven they said wanted to take a year and a half to make the final season, which has extra-long episodes--we didn't really think these sickos would hold out on us until 2019!

In a new interview with Variety, Sophie Turner--who plays Sansa Stark in the show--talked about how the filming of the next and final season is going and, TBH, it doesn't seem promising.

"We started in October, so we’re maybe like a tenth of the way through. [Laughs.] No, no, we’ve got six or seven months left," she says.

She might be kidding but we're not laughing; we've done the math and basically that "six or seven months left" means that they won't have wrapped filming by mid next year, and GOT needs a shitload of CGI added in post-production. So...Oh.My.God!

Then the 21-year-old basically went and confirmed our worst fears...

"Yeah, I’m really excited. Game of Thrones comes out in 2019. Dark Phoenix is in November. Then I have a couple indie movies coming out. I’m a producer on my next movie [Girl Who Fell From the Sky]. So I’m really excited about the future."
