There’s yet another reason to floss, according to recent health news. Research presented at a Stockholm fertility conference this week has found a link between a woman’s chances of conception and gum disease. According to the studies presented, on average, it takes women with gum disease around seven months to conceive. It’s thought that gum inflammation is the main culprit, interfering with the tissue in the reproductive system. So, if you’re trying to fall pregnant, don’t forget to give those pearly whites some TLC.
