Kanye West just announced when he's releasing new music

There's a collaboration you won't want to miss

It turns out that Kanye West's weird/philosophical return to Twitter actually had a purpose, because he just announced when he'll be releasing new music, and it looks like there's a very important (and nostalgic) collaboration happening.

First, the guy who once emailed his wife, Kim Kardashian fashion advice, started with just "my album is 7 songs". Very Kanye.

Then, while everyone waited with bated breath, he added the date. June 1. Mark your calendars right this minute.

BUT THEN, things took an unexpected turn when he wrote "me and Cudi album June 8th" !!!! An album with Kid Cudi?! In addition to his other one coming out June 1? So there are going to be not one but TWO Kanye albums?? Unreal. I feel like I've been instantly transported back to tenth grade, driving home from school while blasting "Pursuit of Happiness" and pretending to be cool.

Apparently it's not just an album but a GROUP of people. "it's called Kids See Ghost. That's the name of our group" he wrote.

THERE'S MORE:

In true Kanye fashion, those are the only details out there so far, but knowing him, there will be more, so much more. He's been going on a Twitter spree since this weekend, and getting very philosophical while doing it. Take, for example, this post from earlier this week:

He also made comments in a recent interview about how he wants to write a philosophical book. Here's a little taste of what that might be like: "And I've got this philosophy — or let's say it's just a concept because sometimes philosophy sounds too heavy-handed. I've got a concept about photographs, and I'm on the fence about photographs — about human beings being obsessed with photographs — because it takes you out of the now and transports you into the past or transports you into the future."

Keep doing you, Kanye! Can't wait to hear these album lyrics!
