If you’re mildly OBSESSED with cheese and wine then we’ve got some good news for you: all your whacky cheese dreams have just come true 'cause science proved that the extra wheel of Camembert (or three) in your fridge is there for a legitimate reason and you should not feel guilty for it.

A recent study conducted at the Centre for Taste and Feeding Behaviour in France (yes, that is an actual place and we want a job there stat!), found that cheese actually makes wine taste better and basically confirmed what we’ve always known.

31 #blessed ‘wine buffs’ were selected to take part in the important research and had the onerous task of sipping on lots of wine and munching on tonnes of cheese all in the name of ‘science’, The Telegraph reports.

More specifically they would take three sips of wine without cheese, and then take another three sips with cheese and report on the findings. Seriously though, where do we sign up for this shit?

The findings indicated that cheese doesn’t discriminate (‘cause cheese is bae) and improved the taste of both white and red wines across the board.

The best part? It doesn’t matter which cheese they used with all four types offering the ground-breaking effect.

So there you have it, a scientifically robust explanation for why you love your cheese and wine so goddamn much. And nobody can argue with science.
