OMG, Someone's getting married on Riverdale next season

And Archie's wearing a kilt.

Riverdale spoilers below, obvs...

Riverdale season two doesn’t air until October, so it’s time to gawk and analyse the shit out of the next best thing: behind-the-scenes photos from the set. Production for season two recently kicked off in Vancouver, Canada, and things already look incredible.

On Monday, KJ Apa, Cole Sprouse, Camila Mendes, Lili Reinhart, and their Riverdale family were spotted in ~fancy~ wedding attire — with Veronica in a gorgeous wedding gown and Archie looking dapper in a bowtie and kilt.

Also spotted on the set: bridesmaids in blue, Jughead also in a kilt (and sans his trademark crown beanie), and Cheryl’s mother. While a Varchie wedding wouldn’t be the craziest thing to happen on Riverdale, the wedding scene is likely part of another dream sequence on the show. And there have been several, from Jughead freaking out about literally stabbing Archie in the back to Cheryl confronting her zombified brother Jason, who, by the way, was also spotted on set for the wedding shoot.

To add more fuel to the dream wedding theory, Luke Perry (Fred Andrews) was also spotted wearing his wedding best. In fact, he's been hanging out on the Riverdale set plenty. Over the weekend, Marisol Nichols, who plays the lovely Hermione Lodge, shared this telling #SetLife photo of Cole and Luke hanging out, probably talking about Fred's future, which remains unclear at this point.

Earlier this year, showrunner Robert Aguirre-Sacasa told The Hollywood Reporter that season two will pick up right where season one left off, focusing on finding out who shot Fred and how the shooting will jump-start Archie’s “hero’s journey” to darkness. RAS, who previously revealed that the season two premiere episode's title to be "A Kiss Before Dying," has remained mum on everything else, so fans will have to wait a few more months to see if Fred is dead or alive, if he'll turn into a zombie, or if anyone will turn into a zombie.

...Please make the zombie thing happen.
