Is it just us, or was the iPhone 7s released, like, 30 seconds ago!? Anyways, Apple has wasted no time with coming up with the ~amazing~ new features for the iPhone 8 and if the rumours are true, we’re in for a treat!
A new report by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, (who’s known for being bang-on with his tech forecasts), has claimed that the next iPhone will come in three versions and it may have an epic OLED screen with a home button built into the display.
If this goes ahead, the home button will be removed to allow for the higher-quality OLED display screen.
”Apple may switch to a film sensor from the current...sensor in order to provide better 3D Touch user experience, as a film sensor offers higher sensitivity,” Kuo revealed.
But that’s not all!
Kuo has also predicted that Apple’s iconic fingerprint system will “ultimately be replaced by a facial recognition system” for even better security, meaning you could eventually unlock your phone with a face scan.
A sneaky leak from a Chinese chip manufacturer sparked a rumour that the next iPhone will feature an iris-scanner, meaning that you can unlock your phone by looking into a lil camera on the screen.
The rumour was supported by the fact that Apple have recently acquired multiple companies that specialise in facial recognition.
“If the technical challenges cannot be overcome, we believe a combination of fingerprint and facial recognition is another possible solution,” Kuo wrote.
This will legit change the way we live, or rather, use our phones.
But in this day and age, aren't they the same thing, really?
What a time to be alive!
