16 times being a Disney Princess fan was ~magical~ in 2017

Princess power was all over 2017.

A dream is a wish your heart makes, and sometimes those dreams come true! 2017 was a great time to be a Disney Princess fan, with lots of awesome merch, heart-warming princess stories, and magical news coming out of the franchise. Let's flash back over some of the best stories from the past year.

1. When one artist reimagined Disney Princesses in 2017's trendy styles.

Fernanda Suarez made "once upon a time" look like right now.

2. And another reimagined them in 2017's technological dystopia.

Which is why we're glad "once upon a time" is not, in fact, right now.

3. When a line of Disney Princess wedding dresses came out.

Who doesn't want to be a princess on their wedding day?

4. And lingere.

Gonna need to stock up on seashell bras.

5. And blankets!

You could buy a princess blanket or make it yourself with the crochet pattern.

6. Chokers too.

7. There was vintage Disney Princess couture.

13. Speaking of slippers, the Cinderella "Glass Slipper" Nikes also launched this year.

14. But the the heel-lover, don't worry. There were Beauty and the Beast pumps too.

Stained glass–painted bridal shoes are as royal as they get.

15. This wonderful charity made yarn wigs for children with cancer.

Now every little one can feel like a princess.

16. And the #DreamBigPrincess campaign encouraged young girls to be whoever they want to be.

The campaign showcases girls in empowering photos.
