Toni Collette's new movie will apparently scare the frickin' bejesus out of you

The trailer alone... OH.MY.GOD

Toni Collette's new horror film Hereditary is being dubbed the modern day answer to The Exorcist and the terrifying trailer alone is enough to make you never want to be alone again.

According to IMDB, Hereditary tells the story of Annie (Toni Collette), who is mourning the death of her mother while raising her young family. Eventually Annie and her husband Steve's (Gabriel Byrne) lives begin to unravel and secrets about their past and their children begin to point toward something sinister.

After premiering at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival the film -- which comes from the same people who brought you psychological thrillers like Split and Ex Machina -- earned a 100 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is pitted to this year's breakout film.

Variety's Owen Gleiberman declaring that it might be "the most exciting movie I've seen at Sundance this year", and The AV Club's A.A. Dowd said, "It didn't play me like a fiddle. It slammed on my insides like a grand piano."

Now is probably the time to start mustering up the courage for the film's June release.
