Pokémon Go is turning into the new Tinder

Gotta catch all the baes.

By Natasha Harding

In just one week since its release the Pokémon Go app has already exploded, with the amount of active daily users expected to overtake Twitter at any moment, proving once and for all that no one should ever underestimate the collective force of nostalgic 90s kids.

In fact, according to Similar Web, Pokémon Go’s even had more installs than Tinder on Android devices and it seems the two aren’t completely different, with people now meeting and dating through the throwback app.

I mean, it makes sense. People being randomly brought together through a mutual love of their childhood hobby has got to create some sort of bond. To start, striking up a convo is a helluva lot easier when you know the other person already shares one of your guiltiest pleasures, right?

Turns out he’s not the only one, with peeps sharing their experiences on Twitter...

Naturally, we can also welcome the next-gen of Netflix & Chill into the dating dictionary. introducing: Pokémon Go & Chill.
