This NSW police department has adopted a stray kitty and we can't deal with this

A CRIME FIGHTING CAT, PEOPLE.

In the cutest news of the day: Police in the city of Bourke in NSW have adopted a stray cat, which has quickly become Australia's most spoilt pet.

The little darling was cold and hungry when he appeared at the police station, and the police have since taken him to the vet to be de-sexed, wormed, vaccinated and micro chipped.

Bless!

The story was shared to the Darling River police force Facebook page, with the hope of the public finding a suitable name for the station's new furry friend.

The post says, "He enjoys lots of cuddles, chasing mice, walking about the station and assisting officers with their paperwork."

HELPING THE OFFICERS WITH THEIR PAPERWORK.

WE ARE DEAD.

HE'S EVEN ADOPTED HIS OWN CHAIR.

It's probably where he does all of his paperwork.

Okay, sorry, this is just really damn cute.

A few days ago, the police shared another photo of the cat, this time to share his new name, 'P.C. Splashe', "inspired by Bourkes local hero Splashe Cola."

We're not in on the name joke, but who cares what it means because BY GOD, he is cute.

Seriously, this guy has more toys than my cat does. And that's saying something.
