Best stoner reactions after Canada's decision to legalise weed

OntariOh-My-God-I'm-High

Canada has legalised the use of recreational marijuana nationwide, making it only the second country behind Uruguay, to do so.

The Senate approved Bill C-45, otherwise known as the Cannabis Act, on Tuesday (June 19, 2018). The measure was already approved by the House of Commons in November, and the Senate's 52-29 vote of approval means it's now set to become law.

As the first G7 nation to legalise recreational marijuana, the country could stand to make billions from taxing pot, reports CNN Money:

"According to recent estimates from Marijuana Business Daily, an industry publication, annual sales for Canada's recreational marijuana market could range between $2.3 billion and $4.5 billion by 2021."

But money isn't the only motivator for decriminalisation.

Canadian Prime Minister, a.k.a hottest world leader to rule them all, Justin Trudeau has pledged that the legalisation of the drug will help keep weed away from underage users and reduce related crime.

"It's been too easy for our kids to get marijuana - and for criminals to reap the profits," he tweeted after the result. "Today, we change that. Our plan to legalise & regulate marijuana just passed the Senate."

Naturally, the stoners of the world have taken this decision as one small toke of the exotic cheroot, one giant leap for pothead-kind and have reacted accordingly:

And then there was this LOL from an American (ICYMI backstory: this week POTUS, Donald Trump announced he wanted the US to have a separate defence force for space called... wait for it... 'Space Force'):

LOL!

And, of course, unofficial king of the Canadian pot contingent, Seth Rogen felt extra patriotic about the decision:

So folks, perhaps it's time to invest in cannabis stocks now while they're low ;)
