Michelle Obama got fat-shamed on live TV

That’s one way to make an enemy of the state.

Live morning TV is always at risk of unexpected swear words, streakers in the background window and controversial comments, but this new clip takes the cake. And eats it, apparently.

On US Fox News Channel’s Outnumbered, a panel of four women and one man debated the government’s healthy school initiative, driven by Michelle Obama. And psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow made some rather controversial statements about the First Lady.

“As parents, we don’t need the federal government applying – projecting – these standards upon us. And Michelle Obama is so, like, the duchess when she speaks,” said co-host Lisa Montgomery, as the panel discussed the Kentucky school district’s decision to opt out of federal funding because their students aren’t into the healthy lunch options.

“And how well could she be eating? She needs to drop a few,” Ablow replied. Um, sorry what?!

The rest of the guests, all women, let out a horrified gasp, but Ablow continued his sexist remarks, “Well no, let’s be honest, there’s no French fries ever, that’s all kale and carrots? I don’t buy it.”

While the women seemed unhappy about the comments, host Sandra Smith made a point of thanking Dr. Ablow at the end of the episode. “It was an important day to have you,” she said. With comments like his, we'd have to disagree.

Also, this dude has obviously never seen Mobama's killer arms.
