If you've been contemplating whether or not it's socially acceptable to get a goat as a pet, here's your answer.
A new study has found goats are all about ~good vibes~ which makes them the perfect animal sidekick to add to your otherwise stressful life.
Plus they do cute stuff like this:
Research conducted by The Royal Society revealed goats are capable of "perceiving human emotional cues" and, furthermore, they like it when we're happy!
The study showed goats two images of an unfamiliar human, one smiling and the other frowning. The images were put up onto two walls and the goats were released and allowed to interact with the space freely.
Apparently, the goats were drawn to the happy face first and hung around it for far longer than the angry face.
It's kinda like when you come into work and immediately drag your cheery co-worker out for a coffee before your grouchy colleague can grab you for a vent.
So just consider that next time you bump into a goat. Give them a big old cheesy grin and you might just elicit this reaction:
