Risking it all, for a love of fashion.

While the news is often filled with tragic, heartbreaking stories, today we have been blessed with a tale of triumph.

A young man named Jerad Kluting in Holland, Michigan was threatened on the street at gun point by a robber, and somehow managed to get away unscathed.

The robber in question was after Kluting's very exclusive, very coveted Louis Vuitton bag, though Jerad defied logic and refused to give up his most prized position, despite the fact his life was in danger.

Kluting was interviewed by the local television station, Wood-TV, where he explained the details of his encounter.

"I said, 'You're not getting my bad. You're not getting my Louis Vuitton, I worked very hard for this.'" Kluting explained, revealing that the armed gunman subsequently opened fire. "Then he fired a second shot, and said 'Give me your bag,' and I said, 'You're not getting my bag.'"

Kluting further explained that he was unwilling to give up his designer item as the bag had sentimental value. "This bag I've had forever, and it means a lot to me, and I'm not about to relinquish it to some thug that's going to demand it from me," he explained.

"I love Louis Vuitton, and I saw this bag long before I could buy it, and I saved up my money to buy it. It means a lot to me and it represents me."

A true modern day hero.
