A man has been charged with the murder of his own wife after her body was found in their Sydney apartment.

He stands accused of stabbing her, then trying to dispose of the weapon in a garbage bin in Potts Point.

The alarm was allegedly raised after her father phoned the police following a concerning phone call from his son-in-law.

"We are not looking at any other suspects in this matter," Superintendent Fitzgerald told Fairfax.
"It is alleged that the son-in-law told [the father] certain things which brought the concern from the father to speak with police today."

The Daily Telegraph reports the victim, who’d been living in Sydney for four years, had been stalked and intimidated by the accused in the weeks leading up to her death.

Utterly tragic.

He’s due in court later.
