BREAKING: A stuntwomen has died on the set of Deadpool 2 when a motorcycle stunt went terribly wrong. It's thought the driver (whose identity is being withheld) went airborne in the accident and flew through the ground floor window of a nearby building, TMZ reports.

A spokesperson for 20th Century Fox issued a statement to TMZ about the tragedy: “We are deeply saddened by the accident that occurred on the set of Deadpool 2 this morning. Our hearts and prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues of our crew member during this difficult time.”

Ryan Reynolds has since taken to Twitter and Instagram to confirm the sad news.

“Today, we tragically lost a member of our crew while filming Deadpool,” he wrote. “We’re heartbroken, shocked and devastated… but recognise nothing can come close to the grief and inexplicable pain her family and loved ones must feel in this moment. My heart pours out to them – along with each and every person she touched in this world.”

The fatality comes just one month after another stunt actor died filming on the set of The Walking Dead.
